Applying Your Lace Wig and Lace Front Wig

Product Inspection

Your wig is carefully inspected for size before it is shipped. The wig will be sealed to insure that the item is not handled before reaching the customer. You will have 24 hours from the date the item is delivered to report any problems with the wig. TAKE THE TIME TO READ OUR POLICY WITH REGARD TO CUSTOM MADE PRODUCTS.

Head Preparation

Wash, condition and dry your natural hair. Braid the hair in small cornrows or wrap the hair tightly so it will lay flat on the scalp. Using a cotton ball to remove oil or conditioner residue from the hairline. This area must be completely free of any hair product. Optional: Use Scalp Protector to protect the scalp. This puts a barrier between your scalp and the adhesive and allows the adhesive to attach better. Swimmers and individuals with sensitive skin should use a scalp protecting product before applying the wig.

Preparing the Wig for Application

1. Trim Excess Lace from around the hairline. If you have purchased a Full Lace Wig, cut the excess lace from around the entire perimeter. Pin back baby hair to avoid cutting it.

2. Seal the Knots. The point where the hair is connected to the lace is called the knot. We highly recommend sealing the knots with Lace Wig Knot Sealer to prevent excess shedding and to extend the life of your hairpiece. This product will help hold the knots in place.

To seal the knots, turn the wig inside out and place it on a wig head or mannequin. step at least 2 feet away and spray the inside of the cap lightly with the sealer product. DO NOT OVER-SPRAY AND DO NOT SPRAY SEALER PRODUCT ON THE HAIR. You will need to reapply the sealer with each application.

Application
